Tricia Castañeda-Guevara

Tricia Castañeda-Guevara is a Chicana actor originally from Los Angeles, Ca. She is a classically trained stage, commercial and film actor, receiving her MFA from the University of Washington. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon with her beautiful family, where she has the incredible opportunity to continue to act, tell Chicano stories, and to train actors for medical simulation. Her most recent short, This Land is, garnered her a Best Supporting Actress award, a short in which she had the pleasure of working along side Gloria Laino Kennedy. You may have caught her fighting over a crab cake in a Kraken Scratch Commercial…she did go to stunt school after all. Or you might have caught her flexing her Shakespeare chops as Capulet in Romeo y Julieta for Seattle Shakespeare.

“Our culture matters, our stories matter, representation matters, and it’s been very exciting to be a part of that journey here in Portland. We are here, we can play Shakespeare and comedy and let’s show them what we got!”

Jose Alfredo Alvarez, actor in Family Time
Jose Alvarez

Jose Alvarez’s approach to acting wasn’t born in a studio, but in the Lower Yakima Valley. Growing up surrounded by an agriculturally dominated lifestyle, he was inspired by the unwavering character of the Piscadores-the Mexican laborers whose resilience and hard work built the valley’s legacy. Influenced by this rich heritage, Jose brings a perspective to his work that is both grounded and deeply empathetic. He views every role as a journey toward truth, not just to discover more about himself and his characters, but in the hope that those who witness his work find clarity of their own. For Jose, the true heart of his craft is the drive to one day give back to those who gave everything to help him, returning the favor to the culture and the valley that first gave him a chance to be something more.

Josie Carstensen, actor
Josie Carstensen

Josie Carstensen knows exactly what it looks like when someone is performing innocence. An actor and producer, her work spans indie horror as the cult leader in feature film “Killer Clown Girls” to recently producing and starring in “The Serious Commitment of Falling in Love” with Studio Nightlight, a dark fantasy thriller about a demon who risks everything for the wrong person. A Political Science graduate of Lyon, France, and a long-time partner of Stupid Cancer in advocacy for AYA cancer survivors, she brings genuine political instinct to characters who exist inside systems of power, privilege, and inheritance. She is drawn to productions that know whose story they’re telling and why it needs to be told now

Kent Shocknek

Kent Shocknek has been a constant television and film presence for 25+ years, appearing in more than 100 major Hollywood productions, as well as award-winning independent projects. His ability to grab viewers’ attention quickly has led to Shocknek’s work being nominated for and winning several awards in film festivals.
